Music Licensing for Film, Games and Creative Projects
HEAR US PLAY offers original music for licensing on request. The catalog includes acoustic pieces, electronic music, live performances, improvisations and sound experiments that may suit film, documentaries, games, online media and other creative productions.
Music used together with visual or interactive media is often described as sync licensing. At HEAR US PLAY, every request is handled directly so that the music, project and intended use can be considered together.
Where the music can be used
Licensing enquiries are welcome for projects such as:
feature films, short films and trailers
documentaries and factual productions
online videos, social media and creator projects
indie games, mobile games, browser games, PC and console games
offline games, installations and interactive projects
podcasts, audio productions and apps
advertising, branded content, exhibitions and live presentations
This list is not exhaustive. If your type of project is not mentioned, describe it in your enquiry.
Tracks, excerpts and samples
A request can concern a complete track, a shorter excerpt or a selected sample from a recording. Availability depends on the individual piece and intended use. Separate files, edits or alternative versions are not automatically included, but can be discussed.
Custom music and alternative versions
If an existing piece is close to what you need but not quite right, ask about a custom version. Depending on the recording and schedule, it may be possible to re-record or rework the music with a different structure, length, tempo, instrumentation or mood.
New original music can also be discussed for a specific brief. Send a reference, scene, rough cut or description of the atmosphere you are looking for. A similar direction can be developed without simply copying another artist's work.
How an enquiry works
Listen to the pieces in the music archive and note the title that interests you.
Describe your project, the intended use, platforms or distribution, required length and timeline.
We reply with information about availability, possible adaptations, delivery and individual terms.
No license is granted by listening to or downloading a file from this website. Rights and terms are confirmed in writing for each accepted request.
Pricing
There is currently no automated store, subscription or fixed pay-per-track price. Each request is quoted individually. This keeps the process simple while the catalog and licensing model are still developing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I license a track for a commercial project?
Commercial licensing can be requested for an existing HEAR US PLAY piece. Availability and rights are confirmed individually before the music is used.
Can I use the music in an online or offline game?
Game licensing enquiries are welcome for browser, mobile, PC, console and offline games, as well as trailers and promotional material. Tell us which platforms and distribution model you are planning.
Can a track be changed for my project?
Possibly. Alternative lengths, arrangements, instrumentation or newly recorded versions can be discussed when the original piece is suitable but needs to fit a particular scene or format.
Is the music free or automatically royalty-free?
No blanket usage permission is granted. Listening and downloading are available for discovery, but every project requires agreed licensing terms before publication or distribution.
Can HEAR US PLAY create new music from a brief?
Custom music can be discussed. Send a description of the project, the mood you need, references and your timeline so that we can decide whether it is a suitable fit.
